- Background: Epithelial cell adhesion molecule (CD326/EPCAM) is a ~34 kDa protein. May act as a physical homophilic interaction molecule between intestinal epithelial cells (IECs) and intraepithelial lymphocytes (IELs) at the mucosal epithelium for providing immunological barrier as a first line of defense against mucosal infection. Plays a role in embryonic stem cells proliferation and differentiation. Up-regulates the expression of FABP5, MYC and cyclins A and E.

ImmunofluorescenceHela cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde for 20 minutes, followed by blocking with 5% goat serum for 1 hour. The cells were then incubated with a primary antibody targeting EpCAM (HB104014) at a concentration of 20.4 ug/ml overnight at 4°C. Afterward, the cells were incubated with a secondary antibody, Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (Alexa Fluor-488) for 50 minutes at room temperature. The localization of EpCAM was visualized (shown in green), and nuclear DNA was stained with DAPI (shown in blue).

Western blotWestern blot analysis was performed using anti-EPCAM polyclonal antibody at 1μg/ml on various samples.
